Description:
As part of the District Government’s New Communities Initiative the Barry Farm, Park Chester & Wade Road neighborhoods will become healthy mixed-income communities where residents have quality housing options, economic opportunities and access to appropriate human services for adults and children. The proposed plan is to create approximately 1,100 new mixed-income housing units, a new community recreation center, a new linear park, a pedestrian bridge linking the neighborhood to the Anacostia Metrorail station and new retail options. The final phase is expected to deliver in 2019.
