Lauren Gertzman serves as the Director of Graphic Design for the Washington, DC Economic Partnership. |
Lauren Gertzman is responsible for the management, design, production and delivery of all WDCEP publications, print collateral, event/lobby signage & displays, and in-house photography.
Lauren joined the WDCEP in August 2006 upon her completion of the Corcoran College of Art + Design Advanced Graphic Design certificate program, with honors. Throughout her studies, she worked as a creative contractor for American University, Discovery Channel, and the Biblical Archaeology Society. She completed short-term projects as a freelance designer for independent fitness trainers, photographers, dentists, and actors.
Prior to her career in graphic design, Lauren worked in a variety of creative fields including video editing, screen-writing, fine art and improv comedy. Most notably, she worked as an assistant video editor for BASE Productions in Haymarket, VA, creating video to be displayed on the jumbo-tron at home games for DC United, Washington Capitals, and Washington Wizards. In this position, she also acted as assistant editor for Discovery Channel’s Young Scientist Challenge television program.
Lauren graduated cum laude from American University with a BA in Visual Media Communications. She completed training programs with the New York Film Academy (Los Angeles campus), Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater (New York, NY) and the Warner Brothers’ Writers Workshop (Washington, DC).
In 2005, Lauren’s design work for American University’s Office of Judicial Affairs and Mediation won the National Association of Student Programs’ silver medal. Lauren is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and AIGA DC. |
